Chocolate Cheesecake Pudding Pie with Brownie Crust

Chocolate Cheesecake Pudding Pie

I feel like I have to put a disclaimer on this pie: It is incredibly rich and chocolatey! Honestly, each piece is so filling that you might have to cut smaller slices to prevent too much of a chocolatey sugar rush. I personally think the best part about this pie is the crust. I wanted to try something different than the traditional pie crusts out there. They’re usually a graham cracker or Oreo crust (which are still pretty good). But this time, I wanted to try a brownie crust. It was the perfect touch for this Chocolate Cheesecake Pudding Pie!

Chocolate Cheesecake Pudding Pie

This pie really doesn’t hold back. It’s filled with melted chocolate chips, cream cheese, pudding mix and more! If you want a lighter, less sweet pie, I would suggest leaving out the pudding mix and the cup of milk. This will give it more of a fluffy cheesecake-y consistency. But if you want to go all out, then follow the full recipe below for this decadent Chocolate Cheesecake Pudding Pie!

Incredibly rich chocolate flavor with an amazing brownie crust. Top with some whipped cream and a sprinkle of cocoa for the finishing touch!

Ingredients

  • ½ package brownie mix (plus half of whatever ingredients are on the brownie box)

  • 2 cups chocolate chips

  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream

  • 12 oz softened cream cheese

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 package chocolate pudding mix (3.9 oz)

  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease a standard 9-inch pie dish
  • Only use HALF the brownie mix (and half of whatever ingredients are on the box). Bake the brownie in the pie dish for about 40 minutes
  • While brownie is baking, you can work on the filling. Start by melting the chocolate chips in the microwave in 30 second intervals. Once they’re melted, add the heavy whipping cream. Whisk until smooth and chocolatey
  • In a separate bowl, add the cream cheese and powdered sugar. Using a hand mixer, beat on low until well combined and smooth
  • Add the milk and pudding mix into the cream cheese mixture. Beat on medium speed until well combined
  • Add in the chocolate/cream mixture you prepared earlier and the vanilla. Continue mixing until everything is well incorporated and smooth
  • Remove brownie from oven and let cool about 10 minutes. Cover the brownie crust with the filling and spread evenly in the pie dish
  • Finally, put the pie in the fridge to cool completely. Preferably 2-4 hours (or overnight if you can)
  • Top with whipped cream and enjoy!
