These Chocolate Easter Egg Nests make for a delicious and ADORABLE Easter-themed dessert. They require NO BAKING and only 3 ingredients! Assembling the nests is so easy that you can turn it into a fun Easter activity to do with the kids. Just make sure they don’t eat all the Cadbury eggs before they finish decorating them. I admit, even I am guilty of munching on a few chocolate eggs along the way. 😛
These Chocolate Easter Egg Nests will add a colorful flare to your Easter table. And it’s definitely a bonus that they’re edible! As I mentioned earlier, this treat requires only 3 super simple ingredients:
- Pretzel Sticks
- Chocolate Chips
- Cadbury eggs
You can actually use any chocolate egg candy of your choice. But I prefer to use Cadbury eggs because they have that lovely colorful candy shell on the outside that really makes the eggs pop against the chocolate nests.
I used a whole 15-ounce bag of pretzel sticks (crushed into smaller pieces) and a whole 12-ounce bag of chocolate chips. With those ingredients I was able to make 24 nests and top them off with three Cadbury eggs each. Plenty of chocolate nests to feed a crowd!
These Chocolate Easter Egg Nests are sure to become a family favorite Easter treat for the years to come. Read on to see the super easy recipe below!

kcalThese Chocolate Easter Egg Nests make for a delicious and ADORABLE Easter-themed dessert. They require NO BAKING and only 3 ingredients!
Ingredients
15 oz pretzel sticks (crushed into smaller pieces)
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
10 oz mini Cadbury eggs
Directions
- Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 30 second intervals, mixing in between, until completely smooth (if the chocolate starts to clump up, add 1-2 tsps of butter or oil to loosen)
- Add the crushed pretzel sticks to a large mixing bowl. Pour the melted chocolate into the bowl and mix with a spoon until all the pretzels are coated well
- Use two 12-slot cupcake trays (or one 24-slot cupcake tray) to form the nests. Spray each slot with nonstick cooking spray first
- Add a spoonful of the chocolate covered pretzels into each cupcake slot creating the nests
- While the chocolate is still wet, press 3 Cadbury eggs in the center of each nest
- Place the cupcake trays in the fridge to let the chocolate harden (about 20-30 minutes)
- Use a butter knife to gently lift the nests out of the cupcake slots
- Enjoy!
