It’s been a while since I’ve posted a new recipe, so to make it up to everyone, I’m sharing this amazing Chocolate Brownies Recipe. It will have been worth the wait, I promise. 😉 This recipe is an original from my wonderful mother-in-law, Crissy. She showed me the ins and outs of making these brownies to perfection while she was staying with us this past month. And the best part about her brownies: they are paired with their very own Homemade Chocolate Frosting.
You can tell these brownies will come out amazing even before you bake them. The batter is so thick and decadent after mixing. It’s unlike traditional brownie recipes that usually have somewhat thinner batter. One of the main tips my mom-in-law gave me for these brownies is to not overcook! It can be tempting to keep them in longer because they might “look” undercooked, but as they set and cool, they will be the perfect consistency with the allotted 25-minute bake time.
You only need one bowl to prepare this brownie batter! You’ll start by mixing the wet ingredients for about 3 minutes until everything is blended and VERY smooth. You can then add all the dry ingredients directly to the bowl and continue mixing for an additional 3 minutes on high. The batter should have a very “fluffy” looking texture when done. For these types of recipes, I like using a simple handheld mixer. Below is a link to the same one I use at home ALL the time (affiliate link).
I definitely appreciate my mother-in-law sharing this delicious chocolate brownies recipe with me and I think you guys will like it too! It’s a chocolate lovers dream, I can attest to that. Give it a try and let me know your experiences in the comments!
