Creamy Bacon & Kielbasa Pasta Skillet

Creamy Bacon & Kielbasa Pasta

This Creamy Bacon & Kielbasa Pasta is one of those dishes I make a few times a month because it’s so easy and cheap. I usually always have the ingredients on hand so if I need to throw something together quick, this is my go-to recipe. It also works great with any shaped pasta. In my pictures you’ll see elbow and egg noodles. But I’ve also tried it with bow-tie and spiral rotini in the past.

Creamy Bacon & Kielbasa Pasta

This pasta is covered in a bacon-flavored cream sauce with a great consistency. The first step in this recipe includes frying the bacon until crisp. I would highly suggest draining all excess bacon grease before adding the cream and milk. Otherwise, the dish will be way too oily and cause a lot of sogginess. But DON’T throw the grease away! A great tip is to save the excess grease in a glass jar and store it in your fridge. You can use it in future recipes as a substitute for butter or oil. It will give all your dishes an amazing extra kick of flavor! Read on for the full recipe for this Creamy Bacon & Kielbasa Pasta Skillet!

  • 16 oz pasta of your choice (I’ve tried elbow, bowtie, and egg noodles)

  • 16 oz bacon, chopped

  • 13 oz kielbasa, chopped

  • ½ white onion, chopped

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ½ cup milk

  • 1 Tbs butter

  • Grated Parmesan, for topping

Directions

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions

  • Add the chopped kielbasa and onions to the skillet. Cook about 3 more minutes
  • Add the heavy cream and milk. Bring to a boil, mixing continuously until it starts to thicken
  • Lower to a simmer for a few more minutes
