Red Cabbage Salad Recipe

When it comes to the marinade for red cabbage salad, you can really use any combination of spices that appeal to you. But the two ingredients I suggest always keeping the same are olive oil and red wine vinegar. These are the two ingredients that give red cabbage salad its classic rich and tangy taste.

Another extra ingredient that does wonders for this red cabbage salad is Dijon mustard. I use Dijon mustard in most of my salad recipes (including pasta salad!) because it adds a zesty, spiced taste that’s hard to replicate. Without that Dijon mustard, it always feels like the marinade is missing something.
