An easy and affordable way to curb your Korean BBQ cravings! The beef is drenched in the most amazing marinade. Fresh jalapenos and crushed red peppers give it the perfect spicy kick.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • ½ onion, minced

  • 1 bell pepper, chopped small

  • 1 jalapeno, chopped small

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ cup soy sauce

  • ¼ cup brown sugar

  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper (more or less depending on how spicy you want it)

  • Green onions (optional for topping)

Directions

  • In a large skillet, brown beef on medium heat, mixing and breaking apart into small pieces along the way
  • Once cooked through, drain the excess grease. Add the minced onion, chopped bell pepper, and chopped jalapeno to the skillet. Mix and continue cooking until fragrant
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and red pepper until well blended
  • Pour the marinade onto the beef. Mix and continue cooking for additional 5 minutes, allowing the marinade to soak through the beef
  • Serve over a bowl of white rice and top with a fried egg if desired!
